My name is Stefan; I am a 30-year-old artist from Germany. I just recently finished my studies in the field of Japanese Studies, East Asian Art History and Transcultural Studies at the University of Heidelberg.
During my time at University, I felt an increasing interest of not only working with my head, but actually create something with my hands. After some small projects, my wife and I founded the creative community RandomDesign in 2013. Under this name I realize various creative projects in the field of prop making, handicraft and 3D modeling and animation.
Since 2014, I am active in case modding which has become a major focus of my work. For me everything started with the participation in the HardwareLuxx-Casemod Contest in 2014. I was able to showcase my work at that year’s gamescom. From that point it just went on until today.

For my casemods, I like to combine different techniques and materials usually not used for modding like paper, glass fiber, fabrics or thermoplastics. Although, I also build classical case mods, my main interest is the area of scratch builds. I like to build my projects starting at zero. Mostly, I use video games or movies as creative reference material. This shows that an armored helmet is not only for wearing but also can house a computer like in my Batman vs Superman inspired case mod “Hellbat”.
Within the two years of modding, I already realized 9 unique projects and there will be even more to come. For me case modding is more than a hobby, it is a passion.
